Concert August 27th
St. Luke’s Blue Ridge will be the venue for a Legacy of Rich Mullins Concert set for Thursday, Aug. 27.
Singer / songwriter Charles Lutz, assisted by local musician Matthew Scoggins, will present the 6 p.m. concert featuring guitar, piano, banjo and lap and hammered dulcimers. An offering will be taken to benefit Indigenous Bible College where Lutz serves as an adjunct instructor.
Rich Mullins (1955-1997) was an American contemporary Christian music singer and songwriter.He is best known for his "Awesome God" and "Sometimes by Step". Mullins' start in the Christian music industry occurred in mid-1981when Amy Grant recorded his song "Sing Your Praise to the Lord."
Lutz, a native of Indiana, relocated recently to North Georgia. At St. Luke’s, he directs video and internet broadcasting of services, as well as assisting with music and education.
