"Of all of St Paul's letters to the young church, none is as plain as Colossians concerning Jesus unique' relation to the Father and His superiority over all created things," according to the Rev. Mr. Morgan. "This study is intended to feed the mind and heart."
All are welcomed to attend. St. Luke's Church is located at 7 Ewing St., across from the Blue Ridge Kiwanis Club Fairgrounds and Community Centre. For more information, call (706) 632-8245.
The Rector's study of St. Paul's Epistle to the Colossians continues each Wednesday at 6 p.m. through Wednesday, May 22.
The next ECW Christmas bazaar workshop will take place on saturday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. in Thomason Hall. All women of the church are welcome to attend; we have a lot of projects already started, and many more in the works. Please join us for fun and fellowship.
There is still work to be done on the Church grounds, so the Jr. Warden has requested another churchyard cleanup day to be held on Thursday, May 30, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The big job will be to spread mulch and other tasks. Hope to see you there.
With the enlargement of the church and with some of the existing Prayer Books and Hymnals growing "tired", some replacements are needed. If you would like to give one or more of either as a memorial, please mark your check with "PB/HYM" and include on a separate piece of paper the name of the person you wish remembered. Cost of each book is $25.
People are needed to be ushers for the 10 a.m. service. If you would like to serve as an usher or have any questions on being an usher, please see Pat Dearing for more information.
We're looking for volunteers to make coffee and clean up on Sundays after the 10 a.m. service. If you are able to help, please sign up on the sheet provided in Thomason Hall.
North Georgia Community Action Agency has requested a helping hand for the needy of Fannin county. They need paper and soap products as well as canned and dry food items. Please place your donations in the narthex and the church will see that they are taken to the North Georgia Community Action Agency.
